Education:

Engineering degree at Ecole Centrale (Paris), 1977

Prior Work:

He participated and/or co-ordinated many EU RTD projects, among which: EFONET project (FP7), Energy Foresight Network; NEEDS (FP6), on Energy Externalities and their incorporation in energy policy and scenarios; PASHMINA, on paradigm shifts, FLAGSHIP on forward looking analysis of grand societal challenges. He served as evaluator of EU RTD proposals within FP4, FP5, FP6 and FP7 and contributed to the evaluation of European research programmes in the areas of environment, bio-economy and international cooperation. He was the lead author of the EU (DG RTD) Report “Assessing the Social and Environmental Impacts of European Research”, and of the EU (DG RTD) Report “The overall socio-economic dimension of community research in the fifth European framework programme”.
